12:44 p.m. - Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 And I will miss their cat, Luna, who is quite entertainin' at times. Luna is one cat with personality. She has different kinds of meows for things. Like when she sees birds outside she will make a chirpy sounding mew-mew sound that is hilarious. Of course I'm sure that Luna doesn't find it funny at all. And whenever she feels lonely, like when the kids are gone to school, she does a deep mournful loud meow that comes out sounding like M-O-W! But the ow sound in the middle is drug out long like M-O-O-O-W and the sound is like someone crying really loud. It's sad but funny to listen to. Sometimes Luna sleeps during the day, but whenever she's awake she thinks that I should hold her like a baby and if I'm too busy to hold her she begins MOWing. If I didn't feel so sorry for her--she'd really be getting on my nerves something fierce. Last night L's son, A, wanted to bring me a stray cat he's found so I would have a cat of my own. I have wanted to have a cat for awhile, but I can't imagine Luna and another cat together. I can however imagind Luna teachin' my cat how to MOW and that would not be good, hahahaha. And, heaven help me, if I should be alone with two female cats when they should get into a real live cat fight! I told them that if the cat is still hangin' around where it was the other evenin' that they could bring it to me. They don't know if it's a girl or boy cat. They tell me that it's a fluffy gray color with white feet. Probably belongs to someone I think, but they tell me that the cat looks abandoned and even mistreated maybe. Poor Kitty. Well, if they bring him/her to me then I will have fun choosing a name. I have been thinkin' of girl cat names like Sabrina, but a good friend of mine has named her cat that. Maybe I will choose Samantha and call her Sammy or Sam for short. I also like the name, Elita, which is the name of someone that I know, lol. But that would still be a good cat name. Or I could call her something with Belle as a middle name, hehe. That would be cute. How's Samantha Belle for a southern cat name? I received my third season of QAF. I have watched one dvd out of five so far. I can't wait to watch more tomorrow. I have to be careful of the children being here. It's not suitable for young minds, but it's really great for the somewhat older minds, lol. The show has such fantastic men in it! I'm reading that my favorite, Justin (Randy Harrison) will not be returning after the fourth season. *cries* I hate that. He's just as darlin' as he can be. He has the most fantastic smile I've ever seen...after Matt's, of course. I think that Luna feels lost here, especially when the kids are gone to school and L goes visiting other people. Right now Luna is curled up asleep in an arm chair in the living room. I'm glad that she is sleepin' and not cryin'. That's certainly a relief. Ooops! She just woke up. I guess she's sleepin' to the sound of my typing and when I stopped typin' it was like an alarm clock that went off. Now she has lain back down again. Whew! On President's Day, last Monday, I received a phone call from one of my very favorite actors--Ryan Merriman. This is my second phone call from him. He is an absolute darlin' to do this. This phone call was a "thank you" from him for helping the bidding on Ebay to go up for charity on the bidding for a personal tape of his favorite moments from movies and tv so far along with a couple of Veritas episodes. It was so great to hear from Ryan again. He's goin' to be married in a few months to a lovely girl named Micol. I will copy and paste here what I wrote about Ryan's President's Day call here so that I will have a record of it always.Ryan's a very special actor with a lot of love for his fans. He is just adorable like that. Here's what I wrote about the call:
Christmas before last I received a personal phone call from Ryan. I had won the bidding on Ebay for it. Then last week, Ryan phoned again. He was so precious to talk to. But I'm kind of shy sometimes on the phone, believe it or not. I'm a writer, not a talker. Of course, some of my closer friends might debate that at times, lol. We were only on the phone for about 10-15 minutes this past Monday, but it was good to hear Ryan saying my name again. He told me that he was in LA to talk about his possible upcoming series on WB. He asked me about my health since he knew I'd not been well for awhile. That was so sweet of him. He seemed truly concerned about me as a friend would be. Then we talked a little bit about various things, like the weather, lol, a good topic to discuss if you get into a snag and can't think of anything else at the moment. We talked a little bit about Ryan's fans and the message board and I told him how much all of us love him and how happy we are for him and Micol. He told me that the wedding was only (at that time) 4 1/2 months away and he's very excited. I suppose he had a lot of calls to make and we didn't stay on the line too long, as I said. Still, it was so good to hear from him. When I saw "Unknown Caller" on my caller ID I almost let it go to the answering machine. However, sometimes the phone will ring 6-8 times before that happens and he might have hung up before then, so I'm glad that I answered it after a couple of rings. I would have been heart-broken to have missed his call. Ryan explained that due to a mix-up the calls that had been planned for Valentine's Day had to be delayed until that day (Monday-President's Day). He was so sweet and sincerely apologetic. How could I ever be disappointed with Ryan--NEVER! He is precious! And he's a busy businessman too trying to line up shows for us to see him in and all. So I understand that things sometimes have to be changed or postponed. I'm so truly grateful to Ryan for calling me at all. He didn't really have to, but he did. I won't complain about the call being a day or two late. He is such a gentleman always and it's indeed a great pleasure and honor to speak with him no matter how long or short the call is. It's fantastic to hear his sweet voice speaking to me personally. And my family who were here at the time that the call came through were saying, "I can't believe it. She's getting a call from a real live movie star". They were so impressed and that made it all the more special. So that's how my call went. Our Ryan is a wonderful gentleman. I hope to write to him very soon to thank him in writing for calling me. He made me feel like I had won the lottery that day! And--in a way--I guess I did.
