Carlos the Jackal Exists!
Ah ha! I want to give a big "THANK YOU" and a red rose to my diary friend, Jake, for signin' my comments and leavin' me some excellent information about Carlos the Jackal. This has all proven to be so highly interestin'. The last link that Jake has provided is a storehouse of information on the criminal. I read the first part of it and wow! I have bookmarked it to return and read more. And the physical description given in "The Bourne Identity" matches the one given in this article about Carlos the Jackal, a real live terrorist finally arrested in France. I don't know about the rest of y'all...but I find this information extraordinary and fascinatin' beyond belief. Below are Jake's comments:

I've wondered the same thing about Carlos the Jackal for a while now. He also appears (as a character) in the movie The Assignment, with Aidan Quinn. Here's a link to a description of the movie:

Happy hunting!!

He exists! I just did a search for him and found this:

And here's a timeline of his life:

Thanks again, Jake. I appreciate this information so much. At least now I can relax, knowin' that Mr. Ludlum isn't writin' under an assumed name....Or is he? Hahahaha!!!

Pay a visit to jzyjsmalls on Diaryland and sign Jake's comments or guestbook. Tell him: "Belle sent me." Thanks.

Last night, at first, I thought I was goin' to finally be able to relax and sleep well. I even took a couple of sleepin' pills. I got into bed with a lift kind of thing I had purchased from "Harriet Carter", which is a gift catalog. It was a pillow that has a slant down one side. This is to prop one's legs up on to be more relaxed. I figured well, this way I wouldn't have to raise the foot of the bed up so high. And it worked fine for awhile. I was feelin' so relaxed. I turned on the bed massage and the pulsatin' bed was so comfortin'. Then I made the mistake of tryin' to turn my upper body to the right and the left leg leg cramps began.

Skeeter, a friend of mine on D's group told me that Vitamin E helps her leg cramps. She said she used to have very bad ones until she began takin' E and drinkin' more water. I am very grateful to Skeeter for that information. I knew I'd either read or heard that some vitamin or mineral would help. Now I know. Wow, the Internet is just full of good friends that amaze me with the amount of help they offer me at times. Now if I can just make myself drink more water....

Yesterday I purchased a new rain-resistant winter coat for myself and a pair of fleece-lined boots. I may not be able to get out once the snow hits, but just in case I can, I'm ready for it now, hahaha. And I bought myself a new pair of house shoes and a new flannel big shirt to wear around the house when I'm holed up this winter. At least I'll be warm now. "Big Shirt" is what that is called because it's made longer and doesn't fit right up against the body. It's made to be comfortable. It's like runnin' around in one of your father's shirts when you were a twelve year old. You know how the shirt would hang really loose? That's what this will be like.

Yesterday the electricity went off for awhile. Then when I reset my bedroom electric clock, I must have set it an hour ahead by mistake. Yep! I just now realized it's only 10am by the computer and when I got up this mornin' about an hour ago I thought the clock by my bed read as 9:45am. I had the alarm set for 10am so I can be up when the mail runs. I know with the way I sleep that I have to set the alarm to be sure to be up on time if I need to. Otherwise sometimes I can sleep until after 11am or later. Bummer! I could have slept an hour longer than I did. Now I'm feelin' drowsy just thinkin' about it, hahaha.

Sometime today I have to figure up what I will need for David to bring me Tuesday when he delivers the milk. Since I will have company I will need more milk. I have a new log of cheese I ordered from last week that I haven't even opened up yet. It's cheddar. I love cheddar cheese! Especially sharp cheddar cheese. Ummm...makes my mouth water. I think I may ask him to bring me some Yoplait yogurt. That would be nice. They also deliver frozen pizzas, but since I don't eat pork as a rule, I will pass on that product since mostly what they have is pepperoni or sausage. I know both of those are probably pork toppin's since that's what most people want. They also have "Chips and Dip". Hmmmm....wonder what kind of chips those would be? Yes, I'm a very picky eater. It's just interestin' to me that a milk delivery has so many other things besides dairy.

I would love to find a really good recipe for spinach dip. I love that sutff! I could eat a ton of it, I believe. Not really, but you know.... Just writin' about it sets my mouth to waterin'. I could find it on the 'net probably and make some for my guests. I just hope they like spinach.

Goin' surfin', y'all...
