11:56 a.m. - Friday, Nov. 21, 2003 Today I am waiting on a shipment by UPS of an online order I made. This holiday season I will be doin' most of my shoppin' online. I don't want to get out into those crowds. I love the Internet! And UPS! My UPS delivery man knows me on a first name basis now, lol, because I've received so many things from them. Some of the items coming today are a few packages of Listerine strips. I love those little strips of breath freshener that can be carried in a little container on my keychain. The strips are like strips of chewing gum only a little shorter and much, much thinner. They're so thin they're almost like a small piece of tissue wrapping paper and they dissolve within seconds after putting one into my mouth. I love the convenience of the key chain holder. That way I don't misplace them, lol. I think I will change my print color on here to black. The brown that I use now doesn't show up clearly and since gettin' my eyes fixed, not to mention a newer computer, I can see that it looks kind of washed out a little bit, at least on my computer it does. It's a bright, sunny day outside. We had a couple of nights of hard rain this week. This year I will be having the family over for Thanksgiving. I will be cookin' the turkey, lol. I will be the one smellin' it cookin' all night long in my oven and wakin' up ravenous for food, lol. Last year it was at my sister, C's, home. It had rained last year. I hope this year won't be rainey or wet. Ah! Reminds me that one of the things on my list to buy myself this year is a rug shampooer. Kind of tired of paying to have that service done. I love the Palm Reader on my handheld. That's the name of the program installed onto it. I made sure when I purchased this model that it had the Palm Reader installed already. I am so happy to have this. And I have bought a cover for it that is silver. It's made out of a hard plastic, I suppose, to keep the Palm OS safe from scratches, etc. I also have a clear plastic protector thingy that was sent with the device. It fits over the viewing area to protect again from scratches and other things. Very cool. I've begun hearing from some of my friends about my absence from some of my message boards. It's nice to be missed. But I'm sorry that this has happened. I have just been so busy lately with this that and the other. Especially since my mother hasn't been too well. I will try to get back to the boards as soon as I reasonably can. I have posted a couple of times yesterday on NMG. One board I never miss, lol, unless I'm away from home, is the Most Beautiful Man board. It's sent to me in email and I only have to click on it to go to the new post. I love seein' all the good lookin' men's photos there. Some are quite revealing, some are downright nekkid in the artistic sense of the word, so my younger friends cannot visit that one, I'm afraid. Sorry. Well...everyone needs a hobby of some kind, hahaha. I just love the men. Won't apologize for that. I'm only human after all. I made a couple of dvds with Ryan Merriman movies on them for my good friend, J, who lives in Canada. It was good to be able to use the DVD Recorder. I deserve a pat on the back. The recorder is doing excellently now. The two dvds were sent to J by Priority Mail yesterday after fillin' out some customs forms. The Post Office person explained that customs would open the envelope just to be sure that what is listed on the form is indeed what is sent. Ok. That's fine. It's just dvds. No problem with anyone seeing them. Another thing I need to get back to is reading my favorite diaries on Diaryland. I've really gotten behind on doing that. I miss all my friends and what's taking place in their lives. Diaryland can become addictive if one lets it, lol. Addictive in a very good way. Making new, good cyber friends all over the world. I love Diaryland. I have gotten my mother set up with online bankin' at her bank. Since she's having all these problems now, I thought it would be good for her to have this option to pay her bills. She's always worrying that someone will steal one of her checks from the mailbox and get into her account. We (the family) tried to explain to her that this is not very likely to happen since most theifs of this kind usually want to hit houses that look like they belong to very rich people. They don't usually hit ordinary looking houses where they can't be sure that the person might not have lots of money available. They probably have to plan on just one hit on any bank account. I know I would ask the bank to assign me a different account number immediately if that happened to me and then set everything up on automatic payment. And this way, too, when the weather gets bad, she won't have to worry about going outside to the mailbox. Yesterday, my sister, C, bought a new mouse for her computer. It's cordless. She called me and told me that it works exceptionally well. She does a lot of graphics on her computer so this will be better for her and allow for more movement. I may splurge and buy me one maybe, but all I do on my computer is read and write. I don't do graphics hardly at all. Usually if I need a graphic of some kind I will ask C to do it for me. It's so nice to have talented family members. It allows me to be lazy, lol. Well, I'm off to add this entry and change my print color to a rich dark brown and see how that looks. At first I tried black (and I said that in my notiy notice), but that was just too different so I'm goin' to try a dark brown. It may kind of clash, but for now I may leave everything else as it is except for the main body font color. Sorry about that, but I may need to do some thinkin' now about how to re-do it a bit. Hopefully it won't look too bad right now.
