9:14 p.m. - Thursday, Aug. 07, 2003 I worked on my finances today also. I figured up how much money I will need to spend this month and now all I need to do is wait for the bills to begin comin' in. I actually enjoy payin' bills. I don't like havin' them necessarily, but I enjoy knowin' that they are bein' paid on time. I do enjoy spendin' money too, don't misunderstand, hahaha. This month I will pay for the work that has been done on my house as well as the regular bills. I spent quite a bit on dvds and books last month and nearly got myself into trouble. I will have to be more careful. But...Matt's worth it. I will be ok. I will just have to tighten things up a bit beginnin' this month until I get my savin's back up to par. I posted on Ryan's message board, but there's not much else goin' on internet wise. Not too many diary updates to read in my favorites list this last week now that I'm finally caught up to daily entries. I purchased three E-books to read last week durin' my internet shoppin' spree at Amazon. I have the Microsoft Reader and that is the handiest thing for readin' e-books. It lets me bookmark pages and I love it. Out of curiousity, because I've never read anything like it before and because it was available, I purchased an e-book that fell under the category of "Erotica". Now....I am aware of what that title means, but I've never read any of it before, and I was not prepared for what was in it not even in my wildest fantasies. I blush to even mention it, hahaha. When I first began readin' the book I was curious. As I read on my jaw dropped to the floor and I thought I would have to make a trip to the bathroom and lose my last meal. But even with that I couldn't drag myself away from it. I didn't know people could do the kinds of things that book described. At last I did reach a point of havin' endured all that my naive little imagination could stand. But rather than leave the e-book as a temptation to read any more of it, I deleted it completely even from my trash bin. I had a terrible time for the next couple of days after that with images comin' to mind that had been created from the words in that book. I am finally over it now and I don't even want to try to think about it ever again. I can begin to see now how those kinds of books can create rapists and murderers. The images that are created in the mind by that garbage could drive a person crazy. Well, my curiousity has been sated. I don't think I care to read any more Erotica, thank you. I mean I am human and my curiousity sometimes gets the better of me, but I really don't think I can take any more of that kind of filth. Man! No more for me. I do have two other regular mysteries (no erotica) to read. The first one of them is quite good. I have already begun readin' it. I love mysteries. A good murder mystery is somethin' I can really get into. I never can figure out who the killer is, but I love to read how the hero of the book finds out who did it. A few years ago in the public library I found some really good mysteries. They were a series of mysteries based around old English Pubs or Inns. Martha Grimes is tne name of the author and I would love to get copies of the books someday. They're still in print and I know that I can purchase them on the internet. The books were written years and years ago and were kind of old fashioned, but I enjoyed them. I am so grateful to the people who create E-books. What a wonderful service! Once I volunteered some time for a short while to read a book that was recorded for the blind. That's another fantastic service. The only trouble is that there aren't enough volunteers to meet the demand for material that the blind or handicapped would love to have. It was fun to read it. And I received some great compliments from people who contacted the place the recordings were sent from. One guy in particular, I remember, told the representative that he loved my voice and hoped I would record more, but I never did. It was an experience for me. As I read the book into the microphone I would imagine the person who might be listenin' and I would add in real feelin' almost like an actor would do in a play with voice inflections. If the book called for a cough, I would do a cough or a sneeze, lol. It was fun. There were even some singers from Nashville, country music singers, who volunteered to record books. That was nice of them, I thought. I received the cutest thing in email today. I have a web site that I created for actor Ryan Merriman. Remember Ryan? That sweetie! I get a lot of hits on the site. I mean hundreds of hits each month. And I have a guestbook that is interestin' to read sometimes. Ryan has fans all around the world. And many of them think that Ryan reads what they write, so I get a lot of very personal comments in my guestbook from girls who think they are writing directly to Ryan Merriman. Today in my regular email I received a love letter to Ryan from one of his 13 year old fans who thought the email address was Ryan's personal email, hahaha. I think it's just as darlin' as it can be. Here's a copy of the letter. I have deleted the name and left the first initial and changed the email address to XO (love and kisses, hehe). Except for those minor changes here is the email in full just as it was written. I believe from the name that this fan lives outside the US. Here's the email: Dear my love Ryan I just want to say that i love you so much that i always think of you and right now in august 07, 03 i'm watching one of your movies in disney channel and is 'the luck of the irish'.And you know what ryan i love your movies. And even i always dream of you that we both got married and i kiss you and we did our honeymoon in bahamas but i think i wont come true because i'm only 13 teen years old and you are 20 years old.But you think i dont matter about age right? well i'm gonna give you my e-mail well 2 cause i got 2 internet and the first one is XOXOXO@aol.com! the second one iss XOXOXO@netzero.com! i hope you send me a e-mail!!! well Ryan i love you, you are my soulmate, you are my friend and my man!! i love you forever!! Now I don't know what to do....I could email Y and explain that the email is not Ryan's and perhaps embarrass her. Or I could just leave it and let her keep her dream but become disappointed maybe when Ryan doesn't write her back. Since I know the feelin' of the second I will send her an email that will gently explain and hopefully will not embarrass her too much.
