HB's Home Again
HB finally showed back up at the house that night. I was so afraid that she might have been hurt or injured. And I know that a lot of male cats roam around at night. I think most cats are outside at night. I could tell HB was just as glad to be back inside as I was to get her back.
I ordered some new things for HB. I bought her some new cat treats. One of them is a salmon flavored treat and the other one has cranberry in it. She loves the cranberry treat and will beg for more. I also bought a bed for HB. The bed is just a flat little thing like a boat with a soft lining that also forms a plush border at the top edge. That way HB can lay her head on it when she sleeps. She loves the bed. I didn't know how she was going to take to it since she's not too good at acceptin' new things. But HB jumped right into the bed and has been sleepin' there ever since.
We've been having some very nice weather and HB goes outside most days. Sometimes she will sit by the door wanting to come back inside then she will be ready to go back outside within just a few moments so I try to ignore her when she first sits by the door looking in. That way she won't be runnin' in and out all the time.
Yesterday my mother was very upset. Her sister had cancer once and had to have a lung removed. R's a heavy smoker. Now some spots have been found on her spine when she went to the doctor the last time. R's scared that it might be the cancer comin' back. Mama cried yesterday. Both of them have all these things goin' wrong with them. I imagine that it is very scary to think about.
It worries me that I can't seem to get back into my writin'. I have begun doin' a story for D's group called "CSI Dragon" which has D investigatin' a murder. Since a lot of younger boys belong to his group, D writes stories about animals and insects that keeps the boys entertained. I have picked up on that and find that I enjoy writing cute little stories about animals and insects. "CSI Dragon" has D investigatin' the death of a tomato plant. He uses a lot of the CSI techniques, like gatherin' fingerprints or footprints in this case and usin' a plaster mold to lift out a model of a footprint left at the sight of the murder.
I love doin' these stories. I wrote another short storie about animals once for D's group, the first animal story I'd ever done. D was very pleased with the outcome of the story and I was pleased that D was happy with it.
I've been doin' a lot of readin'. I joined a mystery writers group on Yahoo and I've been readin' a few of the novels written by the people on that group.
I love to read mysteries and I can get them as ebooks for around $5 each. I just finished readin' the new novel by James Patterson--"Honeymoon". I see that they're advertisin' this book on tv now. I guess I was one of the first to read it. It was very good and I read finished it in just a few hours.
I have also added to my collection of Poirot dvds. Poirot is an Agatha Christie character and I love the English movies that were made about this character based on her books. I enjoy lookin' at all the old furniture and clothing in the movies. Everything looked so neat and attractive during that time, at least in these movies.
I get the dvds from Amazon.com. They come in sets of three on each dvd. So I've just ordered the fourth and fifth sets. Each set contains three movies since the made for tv movies are only one hour long.
I thought I'd seen all of the Poirot movies on tv but I found one yesterday that I dont' remember havin' ever seen and I was delighted. It was hilarious too because this one had Poirot becomin' a housebreaker in order to find a box with a mysterious letter hidden inside of it. He thought the house was empty and didn't know that the housekeeper was there. She called the police and Poirot got arrested.
Since Poirot is good friends with the Cheif Inspector Japp I howled with laughter when Japp opened up the door to see Poirot sitting inside the jail cell the next morning. Japp made a cute comment to the policeman who had taken him to the cell about Poirot bein' a very highly sought after criminal. I laughed at the look Poirot gave CI Japp.
