Happy Birthday, Matt !!!!

*sigh*
Isn't Matt just precious! I'm grateful to my sister, CH, for puttin' the frame around Matt's photo for me. I could do it but she's so much faster with that kind of thing than I am and she does such good work too. CH set my diary page design up for me and got it to workin' properly. Of course the page design itself is by Penny Parker, but CH made sure it showed up the way I wanted it to on the diary. The design I use here is a Penny Parker web set. Ms. Parker makes beautifully colorful web sets some of which she offers for free as long as her name is credited for her design which is the proper thing to do anyhow. I will be anxious to read how Matt has spent his birthday today. I'm sure someone on the 'net will give an account of his day. I enjoy readin' the articles from The Matt Damon Column. This site seems to have the most up to date and interestin' information about Matt of any I've seen so far in my searches. I usually visit this site several times a week for they update it sometimes every day with new and amazin' sites and information about Matt.
Today they have some photos taken last year at Matt's birthday bash where he pushes Ben Afflecks face into the birthday cake. I have those (see below). The Matt Damon Column has great photos of Matt! I love the photos there! I have some photos in my personal collection but this site has others I'd love to have. Especially the one on TMDC showin' just below the date. It's a precious photo of Matt smilin'slightly. Awwww.... He just looks as sweet as apple pie in that photo. Wonder if I write to Felicity if she would let me have a copy of it? I might try it at least. All she can do is say no. But Felicity is a really nice lady whom I've written to before to express my gratefulness for all of her work in collecting this information from who knows where, but it's great and accurate as well as up to date as far as I can tell.

Since I've only become a Matt Damon fan this year and Matt's been seen in films since he was about 16 or 17 there's a lot of catchin' up for me to do. Pay the site a visit. Awwww....how sweet...Someone has just signed the comments page for yesterday's entry. Her name is Kassie. Thank you, Kassie. She surfed onto Belle's Journal while searchin' the web for information on "Southern Belles" to use in a report for school accordin' to her message. Bless her heart. I'm sure this Southern Belle was not quite what she had in mind.
The Southern Belle of today is a bit different from the Southern Belle of the old south previous to the time of the Civil War. The french word, Belle, means "Beauty". I have done some readin' on the Belles of the antebellum period and it's highly interestin'. The Belles of that era were very feisty as some of us still are today. The antebellum Belles were extremely home oriented. They were trained by their southern mamas in how to take care of a home and to keep a husband happy. And they took pride in doin' just that. Sad to say, that is not always the case today in the modern South. Women's Liberation has blasted that time-honored privilege all to bits over the years. It's not quite the same any longer. What a shame.
