2:22 p.m. - Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004 The county court clerk said it is amazing that I didn't get pulled over by the police and arrested. God must have been watchin' over me, I suppose. But I'm safe to drive again. *sigh* I have the current stickers on my license plate and I have the current registration paper and current insurance card now in my car glove compartment. What a relief! Leave it to me, however, to do something really dumb like this, lol. And the policemen are so cute too! I wonder if I could have flirted my way out of being hauled to jail if I had been stopped? I guess havin' a handicap license plate has its priviledges. The police probably just thought that I had the current stickers in the car and just hadn't had time to put them on yet. Wow, I was sweating bullets for a few moments when the clerk told me that I had been driving on expired license plates. Now I have to remember that my drivers license will expire this year on my birthday. Hopefully I won't have to have a new photo made this year, I hope. I hate having to wait on the photo to be made. It takes so long to have that done. My sister said that she renewed her driver's license by mail. I hope I can do that this time too. I think I'll set myself up a Yahoo reminder to send me an email about it in about July and August sometime, lol. L hasn't left Delaware yet. The snow was pretty bad up there, but she's planning to leave sometime tomorrow afternoon and begin her trip to Tennessee. She plans to stop at a motel tomorrow night and then resume her trip on Saturday morning. She will then arrive sometime Saturday afternoon. Unless more snow hits tonight. The Federal Express man, who's name is Scott, he told me, came back yesterday afternoon and delivered the package. Turns out it's something that L had mailed to herself upon purchase thinking she would already be here when it arrived. All that wondering for nothin', lol. I didn't think I had anything else ordered. Usually I use UPS anyhow rather than Federal Express. Scott gave me a form to fill out and give to him on my next delivery which will allow him to leave the items even if I'm not at home. I guess I must have filled out one of those for UPS at some time but I don't remember when, because UPS leaves my deliveries between the storm door and regular door unless it's too big, then it's usually covered in plastic and left outside the door on the porch. I received an email from Ryan's publicist today saying that I would be contacted about the day and time that Ryan Merriman will call me. Bob said Ryan has something for me, but he wants to tell me about it first over the phone. Oh, wow. I love surprises. And and unexpected or unasked for either call from Ryan is a bonus! I really need to write to that sweetie again. I haven't written to him in awhile. Right after the last letter to Ryan was when I began having health problems. Oh, Ryan may be having his own tv show again. This time it will be with Warner Brothers on the WB cable channel that has programs like "Dawson's Creek" and "Everwood". That's exciting. Ryan is a real cutie and a sweetheart. His fans are anxiously awating news of this new program. Evidently the new program is under discussion now. I hope it will be a nice drama like "Everwood". I think that would be fantastic. Ever since seeing Ryan in "Touched By An Angel" I think he's spellbinding as a dramatic actor. For some reason today seems like Friday to me. It's very nice outside. A little on the chilly side but not too much. The sun is shining which makes it seem warmer than it is. I have added a new link to my "Rings/Links" page. Click on the link to that page or on her name here and visit my friend, Squirrel X. Be sure to sign her guestbook and tell her that Belle sent you. Thanks. I have been reading a little bit about the new worm to be unleashed through mass email. "MyDoom" it's being called. It's reported to be supposedly the fastest spreading worm yet. Here's some of what a CNN report had to say about the MyDoom worm: "The message in MyDoom is sent as a binary attachment. It often arrives in a zip archive of 22,528 bytes and is represented by a text icon even though it is an executable file, which are renowned for carrying viruses. While the body of the e-mail varies, it usually includes what appears to be an error message, such as: 'The message cannot be represented in 7-bit ASCII encoding and has been sent as a binary attachment.'" Other Internet information reveals that the MyDoom is being launched against a smaller Internet company because of certain law suits it's made. The mass emailing of the worm is an attempt to shut the company (SCO Group) down by knocking out most of its users. Such attacks as this have even in the past been known to shut down e-commerce sites like Ebay and Amazon.com. Two of the very ones I use most. *crying uncontrollably* The worm is designed to start sending a deluge of messages from certain infected machines to the SCO Web site on Feb. 1 and end on Feb. 12. For more information about the MyDoom worm please see the following link: Just remember that between February 1-12 to scan all email attachments. Shoot, I may just delete all email from my computer that contain attachments during that time without even considering opening any of it. Better to be too safe than sorry. I've already replaced this new computer hard drive once this year and I've only had it less than six months. I can't afford to buy a new computer every time I turn around.
