Rain, Rain, Go Away
Tonight I'm lookin' forward to a new program that will be on the Hallmark Channel. I have been readin' about it on the web, plus I received an email pertainin' to it also. It's called Hallmark Channel Mystery Movies. It begins tonight on Hallmark and will involve three different sleuths but not all in the same movies each week. The sleuths and movies will vary from week to week.
HB is sittin' here beside me as I type. She's cleanin' herself. She stays pretty close to me most of the time unless she gets angry with me like yesterday. I had to put her flea medication on. I think it must sting her and she thinks I'm hurting her. But it has to be done. She will get angry with me each time I put the drops onto her skin and then she hides from me for a few hours or gives me evil looks when she does come out at times for food and water. But once she's over it she goes back to followin' me everywhere I go.
Today I shared a few Chicken flavored snack crackers with her. She seemed to like the one I tore up into small pieces for her. I read somewhere that it's not good on a cat's digestive tract to feed them human food. Usually HB won't eat human food. She might smell of it and then walk away. She eats Science Diet Regular Cat food. They have cat food to help get rid of fleas or mites, lol, and other kinds of medicated foods as well.
Today I had to cancel my debit card. I found a couple of online charges I didn't recognize. I will have a new debit card in about a week with a completely new number. It was about time to cancel. I had somehow come to have some magazines set up to renew automatically and I couldn't get them to cancel so this will automatically cancel them for me since nothing more can be charged to that number. That will clear out a lot of junk mail for me. I love getting rid of clutter at home and in the mailbox.
I keep a pretty tight watch on my bank account online. I check it nearly every day without fail to make sure that only those charges I have authorized recently come out. One time my card number was stolen from the records of Amazon when that system was broken into. I had to cancel my card then also. These days one hears so much about stolen identities that it's scarey. I only wish now that I had bought up several CSI ebooks to last me until I get my new debit card.
Fictionwise has seven CSI ebooks that have been written based on the actual tv show and includes the very same characters and physical descriptions of the actors portraying the characters in the program. I have purchased two of them so far and am now reading the second one. I'm nearly finished with that one. The ebooks are well written and right in line with the program. I am grateful to the writer, Max Allan Collins, for writing such interesting ebooks.
Now the one thing that is weighing on my mind to have done is to find someone who can hook up all of my electronics to my tv set. I can't find the books to them right away. They're packed away somewhere. I thought that my sister, Carol, could do it. I had it in my head that she was a whiz at electrical things. She has today informed me that she isn't. So now I wonder what I will do? MH, hooked them up for me before. I don't know if she would remember how they go without the booklets or not. I will have to call her when she is off from work and ask her about it. She nearly had a nervous breakdown trying to figure them out the last time. Most likely I will have to find the booklets before it can be done again. I have a digital cable box, vcr, dvd player and dvdr that all need to be hooked up into each other somehow. It's like working a jigsaw puzzle without a picture of what the puzzle is to go by.
I feel bad about this because my friend, J in Canada, wanted me to record some shows for him that he can't get there and now I can't do it until I find someone who likes working electronic jigsaw puzzles or find my booklets one.
On top of everything else it's rainin' here. It's supposed to rain all weekend I think. This is goin' to be a very wet winter I believe. It's either rained or snowed nearly every day since I moved. This may cause a problem with MH being able to get here anytime soon.
When it rains, it pours--literally.
